Summmmmmmmmer Time!

Our friend has a great pool at her complex and we spent most of Saturday there with a group of our friends. Everyone just has fun with the boys, playing with them, tossing them around and helping them swim. The boys have water skateboards that were SO much fun! I kept asking everyone...what would you do if I didn't bring the entertainment? :)

By the way, Connor is fearless (well both are actually) and he does the coolest flips into the pool! Wyatt's close behind...

Oh yes I did...I took Connor to see STYX and we had such a great time! He LOVES them, which is hilarious all by itself. Everyone was high fivin him and loving them some Connor because he was singing along to all the songs. It was so fun to spend one on one time with him ! We did it right and went to dinner before the show. Con wanted spaghetti from his favorite place with a big ol meatball haha!! Silly boy!

This kid CAN'T take a picture without making a silly face!! I remember driving my mom nuts with that too. I think it was last week haha. Wyatt and I went on our own date and saw Battle of Terra in 3D. He's such a funny kid and our conversations were great. We stopped at the store and loaded up on junk food for the show. He was in heaven.

EASTER

I love Easter...but I hated going to the store to see all of the huge Easter baskets with all of the toys and presents inside them. So like mankind to make Easter about ourselvs. Not to say I don't give my kids Easter baskets...but simple is better to me and I want to teach them more about the meaning and not just the candy. That's the way my mom did it and I hope I can do the same.

We had a great Easter and I hope my kids are starting to learn more as they get a little bit older. We talked a lot about the resurrection and Jesus' sacrifice for us. We watched a movie about Jesus' life and I think it helped make sense to them...a little bit :) Emily and I came up with a silly scavenger hunt for them to do Sunday morning to find their baskets. Things like "the women were going to put spices on Jesus' body, go to where mom keeps her spices" hahaha we are such dorks but I hope they are learning something.

We had a fun weekend and went on a picnic with my family, colored eggs & had a fun Easter egg hunt with the Dukes. Wyatt wore his spiderman costume to the egg hunt...gotta love that.

Bike Rodeo

I let Connor ride his bike to school for the bike rodeo and you would have thought he was going to Disneyland. Sometimes it's the simple things in life that makes kids super happy. I followed him in the car really slow to school. I knew I was super dorky and I didn't even care. He was soooo cute.

I snuck away from work for a few min to watch the bike rodeo and even got to ride a little bit myself. Poor Connor :)

P.S. That was such a windy day!!!!!!!!!!!

FHE

For FHE the other night we played a matching card game that had church terms...
