Grandparent's Day

Connor's school had a Grandparent's breakfast last Friday and since my dad was already babysitting....he took Wyatt along as well. After giving the kids 4 cinnamon rolls each and a few cups of juice later...someone finally told my dad to leave some for everybody else ;) Thanks Dad for being so awesome!

As you can tell, Eeyore pretty much goes everywhere with Wyatt. The other day Wyatt said, "Mom, Eeyore said sh*t!" Eeyore goes "potty", carries grocery bags, makes me tickle his arm and sometimes bugs Wyatt because he doesn't share. Yesterday we had a close call and almost lost Eeyore for good. Now I'm not gonna lie...I was a little scared. But Eeyore is a survivor and made it back to us. A kid at the babysitter's house threw him over the neighbor's fence (who weren't home) and their dogs took him into their house through the doggie door. Whew, good thing that guy's back safe.

Camping...

The boys had such great time just doing what boys do...playin in the dirt and "building" things with wood & sticks. Give them a shovel and they're in heaven.

My camera battery died right after I took my first pic...so you'll have to check out Amber's and Melissa's blogs. Thanks Melissa for the few you shot over :)

They're crazy and I love it!

Wyatt: Mom, spiders poop webs out their bums.

Connor: Has learned the "Jack be Nimble" nursery rhymn at school. While watching dirt bike riders on TV do all kinds of crazy jumps, Connor says, "Man, that guy is NIMBLE!"

Wyatt: When horses get scared, they do pop-o-wheelies.

Wyatt: Going on airplanes tickles my weiner.

Real Life

Sticks and stones, they break bones
But poisonous words can sting
A caring heart, that has been tried
Beneath the microscope
Children’s lives centered on
Rallied round, tucked in each night
A lullaby sung to ease the day
Gospel truths trusted in
Effort to try my best
The measuring stick laid down
Sticks and stones, they break bones
Who’s anxious to hurl the first?

A grateful heart
A loving heart
A hand that holds difficult cards
But smile for what is had
Health and strength
Two able hands
To wrap around my babies
And to help those I can
A willing heart
A humble heart
Two hands to do my best

I’m happy and I’m able
Who could ask for more?
I love my family and my friends
Who could ask for more?
We stumble, learn and laugh together
Who could ask for more?
Each new day brings new hope
Who could ask for more?

Flubber

Soooo most Sundays we get together at the Duke's for family dinner and the kids are wild and c-r-a-z-y. Thought maybe a fun activity would help keep them entertained a little bit. Got the idea from OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) It's a super fun kid's museum that is amazing if you ever get the chance to go there. The link for the recipe is HERE.

The pics from above were taken tonight at the Duke's and the pics below are from our trip to OMSI.
