The Happs...

Just a few pics from what we've been up to lately. I better take a few pics of Connor besides him cooling off pizza to even things up a bit.

My mom was watching the boys one day while I was at work and she had Barry Manilow playing... (Ahh!) And Connor says, "Grandma, can you please turn that off...it's killen me!"

I asked Wyatt to hold this bag of grapes so they wouldn't get squished but not eat them. Ya right. And he didn't like me taking his picture!

The pizza was too hot to eat right after it came out of the oven, so Connor had a great idea to cool it off.

Pioneer Day at the North Stake. My boys were camping with their dad so I borrowed Jana's Kenidee to have some fun with.Three sassy girls

One hilarious 3 year old.
Paola's birthday. All you can eat crab legs at Main Street Station...ya baby!

Made him stay at the table until he tried a bite of fruit.....that really worked.

Don't leave your camera unattended! I have like 15 pics similar to this!!! ha ha!

Do you ever.....

have random memories pop into your mind and you just can't stop thinking about it?? For a few days now I've been thinking about this crazy moment I had a few years ago. It was the week Justin moved out and I was at the grocery store at night with my two little boys...Connor was 3 and Wyatt wasn't even a year old. I was in a total daze buying some food and in line with me was this teenager buying some flowers for his girlfriend. He must have been ahead of me and he couldn't believe how much the flowers were....

I laughed at him and took the flowers from him and paid for them. I told him I was hoping that the favor would come back to me someday....

And I wasn't talking about flowers or buying things.

That memory has kept coming into my mind all week and I remember how happy that young guy was and I imagine that girl's face when when she got the flowers..... I told him to treat her good and I of course didn't tell him anything about what had just happend to me.

I can't believe I was so gutsy and did something like that. But I'm so glad and it makes me laugh at myself.

Sorry to share such a personal thought...but you're my friends, so why not? :) Plus it's something I want to remember.

Kim's New Sweet Bike

Saturday, July 19, 2008

Thank you for sharing your memories you have of me! That was not only fun to read... but I had no idea the lift it was going to give me as well. Some of you left such nice things (maybe not entirely TRUE things ha ha!) but they meant a lot to me and I wanted to say thank you. It's so interesting to hear the things that people notice about you and I just wanted you all to know how grateful I am for you in my life and for the encouragement you give me.

I got this from Jessica's blog...

Here is a fun little game...Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you....

He's 6

Party at the Brinkerhoff's house! Connor just turned 6 and had such a great time at his birthday swim party. We barely got the kids to eat anything let alone open any gifts. They had so much fun! I did too...I loved going down the slide in a train with the kids on a floatie...except that all of them would cry afterwards....then they would want to go down again! So it couldn't have been too bad ;)

Hot dogs and homemade rootbeer...what could be better? Oh, and yummy cookie cake...no mess and dang good.

Thank you Brinkerhoff's and eveybody for coming! We have great friends & family and we love to get together with you!

Connor, I love you and I'm so glad you came into my life! On your birthday we looked through your scrapbook together of when you were born. So many happy moments have come into my life because of you. You are so thoughtful, smart, sweet and fun to be with!! I love you! Hope you had a happy birthday. Love, your momma

a HAPPY 4th of July

I love good days and today was a good one. Nothing too special but just lots of laughing and good times. And good food....that always helps. We spent the day with family at Emily's house eating yummy BBQ-ed shrimp & chicken, corn on the cob and homemade ice cream. We swam with the kids forever and wouldn't you know Wyatt started swimming today. It was the coolest thing! He takes the HUGEST breath and makes his eyes bug out of his head.... I got a great pic of him doing it! He did great swimming!

WHAT THE???!!

My dad came out wearing this to go swimming. By the way, he has really cool swim trunks, who knows where they are?? And I think he's a great sport to go swimming with us anyway!
But when he came out...Wyatt pointed and said, "WHAT IS THAT???" We were all laughing so hard we were almost crying. I think you had those swim trunks when I was in 6th grade & I had big bangs. Sorry Dad, had to take a pic! Love you, you're a great sport!!
